The rise in unemployment in our society is now greatly used by swindlers and scammers to dupe unsuspecting job seekers,They now take advantage of desperate job seekers to carry out their deeds.one has to be extra careful before applying or honouring job invites.
Here is a list of what you should check out for before you honour that invite:
1.NO JOB POSITION:Most times when you receive an interview invite either by mail or text message you may be too excited to check the details of the invite carefully, most scam interview
Invites usually do not carry the job position you are being invited for.
2.IMPROMPTU NOTIFICATION:Most scam invites are characterized by this,The invite mostly comes a day or few hours before the interview time/date and you are given little time for proper preparation.
3.NO COMPANY NAME:No serious company or organization will send you an invite without the company's name being attached to it except if the interview is handled by a recruiting or consulting firm, even at that the recruiting firm still includes their names.
4.YOU GET INVITE WITHOUT APPLYING FOR THE JOB:This is another method scammers use on job seekers,You wonder how they got your phone line or email address, not too worry, these scammers are very good at what they do,you might have innocently applied for one of their job adverts thinking it was genuine, All they do is change the company's name if they have one but the address remains the same and then they keep sending you fake invites at intervals.
WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU RECEIVE A JOB INTERVIEW INVITE
With the recent development in our society one has to take pre-cautions,when I was job hunting I usually search about the company/organization when I get an invite from them,This is my own opinion, google is always your friend and so you should always make use of it.Search about the company/organization,what they do and the genuineness of the address given,if you are not convinced ask questions before you honour to he invite,I believe this will help alot in preventing you from encountering scammers.
